Berlin Fashion Week
Global stage for creative diversity
From June 30 to July 3, 2025, Berlin will once again present itself as the international capital of creative fashion, diversity and inclusion. With an expanded line-up this time, Berlin Fashion Week is focusing more on internationality and progressive talent - particularly visible in the "Berlin Contemporary" competition.
Berlin Contemporary goes global
For the first time, the "Berlin Contemporary" concept competition was also open to international brands. With Buzigahill (Uganda), Palmwine Icecream (Ghana) and Orange Culture (Nigeria), three brands from the African continent convinced the jury. "The selection of African brands [...] proves that Berlin Fashion Week has developed into a recognized platform for diverse, responsible and creative fashion worldwide," said Michael Biel, State Secretary for Economic Affairs.
19 labels will receive funding of 25,000 euros each, including well-known names such as GmbH, Haderlump and Lueder as well as newcomers such as David Koma, Ioannes and Gerrit Jacob, who will be showing in Berlin for the first time. The complete line-up: Andrej Gronau, Balletshofer, Buzigahill, Colrs, David Koma, Gerrit Jacob, GmbH, Haderlump, Ioannes, Kitschy Couture, Laura Gerte, Lueder, Marke, Milk of Lime, Orange Culture, Palmwine Icecream, Richert Beil, SF1OG, Sia Arnika.
More than shows: formats & highlights
The official calendar also includes names such as Anja Gockel, Damur, Marc Cain, Rebekka Ruétz, Tell the Truth and Collectivefour (Danny Reinke, Kilian Kerner, Marcel Ostertag). The latter will be showing their charity collection "C4DR" in the Uber Arena, the proceeds of which will benefit cancer research.
Formats for specialist audiences & end consumers
With "Studio2Retail", Fashion Week once again opens up to the city. Six labels - including Lou de Bètoly and Vladimir Karaleev - were awarded prize money. Other highlights: the "Intervention" format curated by Reference Studios, the latest showcase by Buzigahill, Marke and Milk of Lime as well as the "Berliner Salon" for up-and-coming designers.
Formats such as "Berlin Curated", the "Best Graduates Show" of the Lette Verein or "Neo.Fashion." focus on the targeted promotion of young talent and make university talent visible. With "Raum.Berlin", the Fashion Council Germany is also presenting a new, curated showroom format. The event will conclude with the official Closing Party - as always with a surprise location that will be announced soon, according to the organizers.
