Wira
Crafted Between Cultures
Founded in 2019 between Lima and Elche, Wira blends Peruvian cultural heritage with Spanish shoemaking craftsmanship and reinterprets pre-Columbian textiles in modern footwear. The brand is known for its understated, timeless aesthetic, high-quality natural materials, and a mindful approach to resource use.

The idea for Wira was born after a lecture by textile specialist Yuki Seo at the Universidad Nacional San Marcos in Lima. Her work on revitalizing millennia-old textile techniques became the creative starting point for the brand. To this day, the collections are characterized by geometric patterns and traditional structures found in pre-Columbian textiles. Production takes place in Elche, Spain—one of Europe’s most important shoe-making regions.
Designer Zuzana Kralova is responsible for the creative vision. A graduate of the Istituto Europeo di Design in Madrid, she has worked for international brands and has been deeply involved in sustainability, the circular economy, and traditional craftsmanship for years. Her experiences in Peru and at the Amano Museum in Lima, in particular, have shaped her design approach.
At the heart of the collections is baby alpaca, an exceptionally soft, breathable, and durable natural fiber that lends the pieces a sense of lightness and comfort. At the same time, Wira embraces a minimalist production approach. Items are made exclusively to order to avoid overproduction and material waste. The fibers used are certified according to the Responsible Alpaca Standard (RAS) and stand for transparent supply chains and responsible production. Available now via d-tails.
