Val:ue Milan
New trade show concept aims to reconnect the luxury textile industry
With “Val:ue Milan,” Messe Frankfurt is introducing a new format for the international textile industry.
The concept is deliberately designed as an alternative to traditional trade shows, instead focusing on an exclusive, curated business hub for high-quality apparel textiles and accessories. The premiere is scheduled for February 3–5, 2027, at The Mall in Milan’s Porta Nuova district.
The focus is on a carefully selected group of participants: international manufacturers, designers, buyers, and product managers from the premium segment are brought together in a purpose-built environment. The goal is to foster high-quality connections and facilitate strategic partnerships. In doing so, Messe Frankfurt aims to further expand its global network in the textile sector while providing new impetus for the industry.
Milan was deliberately chosen as the venue. The Italian metropolis is regarded as one of the world’s leading hubs for fashion, design, and textile innovation. Here, creative excellence and industrial expertise come together—ideal conditions for an event focused on exchange, inspiration, and business development.
“Val:ue Milan” positions itself as a platform for high-end materials, innovative textile solutions, and premium accessories. The focus is on sustainable quality, technological reliability, and creative diversity. According to the organizers, the event is designed to connect producers from leading sourcing markets with top European buyers.
“Milan is the hub where fashion excellence meets industrial expertise and major international brands,” explains Donald Wich, Managing Director of Messe Frankfurt Italia. “With Val:ue Milan, we are creating a project that brings these strengths together while opening up to the international market—a platform that connects selected suppliers from the world’s most important sourcing regions with the European market. The goal is to establish an independent hub for high-quality sourcing in Milan, one that is characterized by a clear identity and an excellent profile.”
Strategically, the launch is also a significant step: With this new format, Messe Frankfurt is expanding its international “Texpertise” network, which already comprises more than 60 events in 14 countries. Executive Board member Detlef Braun emphasizes: “With the launch of Val:ue Milan, we are strategically expanding the reach of our global Texpertise network. Milan offers a unique stage where a deeply rooted design culture meets international prestige—the ideal setting for this new format. This boutique business hub sets new standards within our portfolio and reflects our long-term strategy to strengthen our presence in key fashion capitals with a clearly differentiated approach and to offer high-quality, strategic solutions across the entire textile value chain.”
The name “Val:ue” symbolizes values such as substance, quality, and long-term partnerships. In contrast to fast-moving trends, the focus is on consistency and excellence. Thus, “Val:ue Milan” sees itself not merely as a trade show, but as a meeting place for a global community that is shaping the luxury textile market in a sustainable way.
