Our issue focuses on the concept of relevance. What makes a trade fair or a showroom relevant today?
Hubert Stolzlechner, head of the SALT Order Days: "The key is the right mix and the quality of the exhibitors. Today, the focus is more on the product than ever before. Product reliability therefore has top priority.
And how do you achieve the "right mix"?
Selection comes about through action. In fact, it is not the case that a company makes an inquiry and we then decide whether to accept or reject it. Our regular exhibitors alone give us a very clear picture of what SALT stands for. This often creates a real momentum of its own. Our aim is to offer an environment in which companies can present themselves to the trade together and mutually stimulate each other in the process. I myself am also constantly looking for manufacturers from abroad, such as Spain or France, which I then approach and invite to take part in SALT. The mix of reliability and surprises that you might not expect is what makes SALT so special for me.
And this mix is attractive?
Definitely. Nevertheless, it is no longer enough to stand in the showroom on order days and wait to see who comes. Even with the most renowned exhibitors, the key lies in the preparatory work: we invite our customers to our events several times and draw their attention to them.
