Rossi
"Genderless is a reality"
Are we experiencing a real change in menswear?
Tobias Schellenberger, CEO Rossi: Yes, of course. Men in particular are increasingly questioning traditional role models - and also how they want to dress. People like Harry Styles or Timothée Chalamet are already strongly shaping the new image of what masculinity can and should look like - especially for a younger target group. In classic menswear, where many customers are over 40, it is often even more difficult to find identification figures. But a lot is happening there too: men no longer just want a new pair of trousers. They are looking for something special - regardless of age. And that's exactly what we feel at Rossi: our fashionable, unisex pants are also very popular with customers well over 30.
How do you approach your collections creatively?
Traveling is our biggest source of inspiration - whether it's Paris, Milan, Seoul or L.A. We observe what happens in fashion-forward stores and what people are really wearing. Instagram is the second big source: we follow a lot of exciting personalities there who indirectly help shape our designs.
Looking back: How did the start with the unisex concept go and what has changed?
When I presented the collection for the very first time in July 2022, many people smiled at us. Others were interested, but somehow lacked the courage to tackle the topic. Today, that has completely changed. Genderless is no longer a vision - it's a reality and reflects the zeitgeist.
