Praterinsel
Retreat and inspiration
In the heart of the city, on the Isar and right in the middle of the action: For the Munich Order Days, Petra Esparza McAlpine has transformed the historic Praterinsel area into a unique meeting place. "I want to create an atmosphere in which buyers can not only order, but also experience," says the initiator and agency owner. Around 35 carefully curated premium and luxury collections, including labels such as Jérôme Dreyfuss, Rossi and Stouls, will be on display on two floors and around 1,500 square meters. In addition to Simkhai, Rhea and Labo.Art, Ancient Greek Sandals will also be there from its own agency, now with even more urban styles. "Another new addition is Mr. Mrs Shirt from Milan," says Esparza McAlpine, "with flowing blouses, dresses and pants made of linen and silk, 100% made in Italy. Mega beautiful!"
Very little is left to chance at Praterinsel, which makes the surroundings all the more harmonious: the deliberately designed spaces, young art and harmonious greenery create a calm yet energetic atmosphere that stands out from the traditional trade fair setting. "This is exactly what sets us apart," says Esparza McAlpine. "We offer an environment that invites you to discover and at the same time allows you to focus." Another plus point is the central location: the immediate proximity to other showrooms, the Prisco Haus and other trade fair events means that a visit to the Praterinsel fits seamlessly into the customer's ordering day.
