Petra Esparza McAlpine's agency has launched two new collections for the DACH market for fall/winter 2027, which she will also be showing in Paris until March 10: knitwear by Vittoria Gwen and the first winter edition of Ancient Greek Sandals.
"Vittoria Gwen is the name of a super cool knitwear label from Italy," says Petra Esparza McAlpine. "Vittoria and Gwen are the daughters of a major knitwear manufacturer for well-known first lines, who have launched their own pilot project in a very professional manner with the aim of conquering the international market." It's worth taking a closer look: at first glance, the total look appears casual and understated, but on closer inspection, it impresses with its extraordinary knitting techniques – for example, in a denim-look coat, delicate alpaca crewneck sweaters, and elegant cashmere T-shirts. "The brushed wool sweaters in nine colors are very special and unlike anything you've seen before." Retail prices range from $159 to $875.
The agency has been distributing Ancient Greek Sandals in the German-speaking market for ten years, but this is the first time there has been a proper winter collection. "Following the huge summer success of rubber jelly sandals, the label's signature style is now being translated into winter styles: transparent ankle boots in beautiful colors, ballerinas, slip-ons, and boat shoes with tweed or lambskin – at retail prices between €290 and €490."
