A New Chapter in The Valley

A New Chapter in The Valley
Since May, the Swiss fashion agency Picinelli has had a new home. Daniel Picinelli has moved his showroom from the Velofabrik in Zurich to The Valley in Kemptthal—a 615-square-meter space right in the heart of a place where industrial history, innovative concepts, craftsmanship, and entrepreneurship come together.

For nearly three decades, the agency has been connecting international brands with specialty retailers in Switzerland and, in some cases, Austria. The portfolio includes women’s and men’s fashion, ranging from contemporary fashion and ready-to-wear to denim, shoes, and accessories. Brands represented include Cinzia Rocca, Antonelli Firenze, Amina Rubinacci, Latinò, Desoto, and Wallmann, as well as Roy Robson, L.B.M. 1911, Luigi Bianchi Sartoria, Fradi, and AGF Marostica.

For Daniel Picinelli, one thing was most important during the move: more space. “I wanted to give the merchandise more space and not have everything so cramped anymore—I wanted it to feel airy.” Together with the retail specialists at Konrad Knoblauch, they created a showroom that combines the old architecture with a clean, modern presentation of merchandise. Existing furniture and favorite pieces from the old showroom were deliberately brought along.

What’s particularly nice: A spacious café bar takes center stage. It’s not just for decoration, but serves as a place for conversations, business meetings, events, and, of course, a quick coffee break. After all, at the end of the day, wholesale isn’t just about collections—it’s always about people and relationships, too.
