Paper Straight

Against the hasty draft

Against the hasty draft
Founded in Amsterdam by Randell Vliet, the brand develops footwear from an analytical perspective, focusing on silhouette, proportion, and wearability.

The starting point was a close observation of a pair of worn shoes. Visually, the collection falls somewhere between a derby and a hiker—rooted in classic style, but with a twist in terms of volume and details. By the way: The name “Paper Straight” refers to the track “Been Away” by Brent Faiyaz—a song about the tension between the pursuit of (financial) success (“paper”) and the desire to stay true to oneself (“straight”). That is precisely the core of it: thinking ahead without losing sight of one’s own standards.
