T.T, founded by Taiga Takahashi between New York and Kyoto, views clothing as something that preserves time.

The starting point is thousands of vintage pieces from the 1920s through the 1950s, which he has been collecting since his youth. Silhouettes, fabrics, and constructions are analyzed almost archaeologically and reinterpreted using Japanese techniques such as natural dyeing or historic looms. The result is not artificial nostalgia, but a calm, precise evolution of clothing. Following Takahashi’s death in 2022, the team continues this unique and sophisticated approach—with the same focus on substance rather than surface. And perhaps that is precisely why these pieces seem less like designs and more like discoveries.
