New addition: Craftsmanship meets attitude

With Julia Skergeth, the MODEist agency has brought on board a designer whose bags are more than just accessories. Her basket bags for spring/summer 2025 combine craftsmanship, design and attitude to create a harmonious overall look. The collection was created in collaboration with the Baba Tree Basket Company in Ghana - an NGO that promotes the traditional craftsmanship of the Gurunsi community - and with the support of the Viennese creative collective Sisterhood Studios.

Woven from sustainable elephant grass, the bags are shaped by hand in Vienna. They are given the finishing touches in Italy, where they are refined with leather details in typical Julia Skergeth style. "These bags tell a story of cultures and craftsmanship," says the designer. This is exactly what makes them real statement pieces for stores that value authenticity and responsibility.

The limited edition models are available in mini and midi sizes, with retail prices ranging from 350 to 500 euros. In terms of color, Julia Sergeth provides fresh accents with the models "Heidi", a vibrant shade of red, and "Blackberry". The line is complemented by suede and smooth leather models costing up to 700 euros.
