Trade fair with vision
Why is it worth having ILM Offenbach on your radar? Because the trade fair for leather goods and accessories knows how to combine down-to-earthness with inspiration, and because it inspires a growing audience.

The big show with lots of pomp is not to be found in Offenbach - ILM prefers to build on substance. And that is flourishing: Founded 75 years ago by leather goods manufacturers, the trade fair for bags, luggage and accessories has developed steadily. From 30 August to 1 September 2025, it will bring together around 300 exhibitors from 25 countries on 20,000 square meters and is supported by a strong, growing community. "We achieve this by consistently continuing the legacy of ILM as an order fair and not as an event show," says Arnd Hinrich Kappe, CEO of ILM Offenbach. "We remain predictable, which creates trust." "All important customers from Germany and increasingly more from abroad come here," says Georg Picard, CEO of the brand of the same name. "The atmosphere is intimate, which is ideal for trusting partner discussions and order placements." Reliability, but always with new impulses, that's what matters to Dominique Großkurth, Head of Sales GOT BAG. "For me, ILM is like a class reunion of the industry, only with much more innovation and style. For us, a stand at the trade fair means visibility and the chance to take away valuable feedback." For Jannice Boss, Head of Sales at United Brands 24, ILM is also a place for trends and inspiring encounters. "This is where we make new business contacts, cultivate our network and absorb international impulses. With our licensed brand Bugatti, we are where the course is set for the future."

It is clear that the trade fair does not stand still. With the practical supporting program, for example, with panel talks and trend information that is also relevant for the fashion trade. In addition, the Step by Step trade fair portfolio will be expanded with sunglasses, scarves and jewelry. And for even more internationality, the dedicated Offenbach team is cooperating with trade fairs in Hong Kong and New York. "Our team of twelve employees isn't actually that big, but our partners can tell that we're all pursuing the same goal," says Arnd Hinrich Kappe. "It's great that this is so well received!"
