Always Stay Cool
“Stripes are our signature—horizontal or vertical, in wide blocks or narrow Breton stripes,” says Sybille Megzer about the new Spring/Summer 2027 collection.
“Another highlight is a multicolored stripe with a watercolor look on linen.” The collection is full of good vibes in other ways, too, with polka dots on a flowing fabric for skirts, color-blocking on knitwear, or a lightweight summer sweater with a jacquard pattern. The look becomes even more feminine with a form-fitting short-sleeve blouse, pencil skirts made of lightweight cotton or striped viscose, dresses with ties to fasten yourself, and T-shirts featuring delicate pearl embroidery. “Quality is also incredibly important,” says Sybille Mezger. “You run your fingers through the fabric, put the piece on, and immediately feel comfortable. You can’t capture that on Instagram.”
Behind the scenes, long-standing partnerships shape the concept: Sybille Mezger, who founded the label in 2012, has been working with her main producer since 2014. “It’s a relationship built on friendship, which in turn pays off for the label.” Liv Bergen is well-positioned across Europe, including in France and Belgium in addition to its core DA-CH market. Its premiere at CIFF in August is expected to open the door to the Scandinavian market.
