Between Function and Feeling
Emotion, sensuality, functionality—Humanoid continues to explore this tension in the new season. "The collection has its roots in workwear and is inspired by industrial codes, which it reinterprets with texture, volume, and a soft feel," says co-owner Daan Berkhoff.
It always starts with the material: reversible shearling and blanket-style outerwear provide warmth and protection, while knitwear made from alpaca, mohair, cashmere, and wool blends bring softness, lightness, and volume to the collection. Added to this are organic cotton jersey and organic cotton poplin for everyday looks.
The silhouettes are reminiscent of workwear and modular dressing, with relaxed proportions, functional details, and flowing shapes: jackets and coats provide structure, while pants, dresses, and tops are particularly comfortable and adaptable. New highlight: a denim capsule with jeans and a jacket in a light wash that can be easily combined—utilitarian and timeless at the same time.
Natural tones such as khaki, moss, oat, and off-white form the basis of the color palette, while blush, tobacco, burgundy, and mustard add depth and contrast. "In line with our brand vision of reducing waste, 20 percent of the collection is made from residual materials, breathing new life into existing materials without compromising on quality," says Daan Berkhoff. "In addition, 20 percent of the collection consists of limited-edition styles." Humanoid is distributed throughout the German-speaking market by the Mindner showroom.
