What does Gabba stand for?
Caspar Sloth Grundahl, Commercial Director: Gabba was founded on denim, and that continues to shape how we think about clothing to this day. For us, good style starts with pieces that become part of everyday life. Our approach is called Worn For Life: clothing that is not only durable but also allows you to move naturally through modern, urban life. In a market driven by constant novelty, we believe that the strongest wardrobes are built around pieces that people return to year after year.
Our conclusion: Trust is essential for commercial success. How much so for you?
Consumers want brands that remain relevant beyond a single season. For us, trust comes from consistency: in quality, fit, and communication. That’s exactly why denim is such an important category. Good jeans are a very personal choice—people keep coming back to the same fit and feel year after year. And trust has a lot to do with honesty. We create not so much fashion fantasies as clothing that people actually live in.
And how about your relationships with your partners?
Strong relationships are central to our business. We have been working with many customers and agents for years, especially in Germany, one of our most important markets. We are reliable and attentive. The fact that we enjoy meeting one another is a major reason why so many of these relationships have lasted so long.
In what areas do you want to improve in the future?
We have become more focused and authentic—a process that is paying off: positive developments in Sweden and France, and growth in e-commerce. In the German-speaking market, we aim to raise awareness of Gabba as a denim-inspired lifestyle brand. The greatest potential lies in the combination of Danish design sensibility, everyday practicality, and a love of denim.
