Fashion Positions 2025
Fashion in dialog with art
With this year's edition, Fashion Positions has once again established itself as an integral part of Berlin Art Week. From September 11 to 14, 2025, 20 Berlin labels presented their latest collections in an open, installative architecture in Hangar 7 at Tempelhof Airport.
The curatorial selection by Diandra Donecker and Dao Tran focused on fashion that shows attitude, experiments with materials and addresses social issues. Kristian Jarmuschek, initiator of Fashion Positions, emphasizes: "From the very beginning, our aim was to show fashion in a framework that does not reduce it to function or market. These labels work creatively, conceptually, think socially, design with attitude - that's exactly what needs space."
The participating brands are: Alexander Gigl, Cbui, Claudia Skoda, Cruba, Danny Reinke, Elodie Carstensen, Esther Perbandt, Fiona Bennett, Format:, Haderlump Atelier Berlin, Karen Jessen, Lilian Brade, Marie-Louise Müller x Ute Faber, Maximilian Gedra, Nadine Aurin, plaid-à-porter, Raufaser, Selva Huygens, Vanessa Baernthol and Yannic Pretzlaff.
The photographic work "Männersache" by Caroline Kynast set a special accent. She illuminated masculinity as a staged and observable reality. Part of the sales proceeds went to a good cause. Initiator Kristian Jarmuschek summed up the idea behind the format: fashion needs spaces in which it can be thought freely. And that is exactly what was achieved this year.
