20 new international stores planned
The activewear brand plans to triple its international retail presence by 2026 and expand into markets in Asia, South America, and the Middle East.

Fabletics is accelerating its global growth strategy and plans to open about 20 new international stores over the next twelve months. With this move, the activewear brand—founded in 2013—aims to triple its international retail presence by 2026. The new markets include India, the United Arab Emirates, Colombia, Peru, and countries in Central America. In Germany, the California-based brand is available at Zalando, P&C, and through a shop-in-shop at KaDeWe, among other locations.

The expansion builds on the successful retail model in the U.S., which has posted double-digit growth in comparable store sales over the past three years. In parallel with the international expansion, an additional 25 stores are planned in the U.S. over the next twelve months.

The announcement comes on the heels of a landmark year: Fabletics generated net revenue of more than $1 billion. Over the next five years, revenue is expected to double, while EBITDA is projected to quadruple.

“Retail has become an increasingly important growth driver for our business,” says Adam Goldenberg, co-founder and CEO of Fabletics. “As our retail model continues to deliver strong results in the U.S., we are confident that it can be scaled globally. This expansion will enable us to reach even more customers, further build the Fabletics brand, and create additional value over the long term.”

Fabletics also relies on a locally tailored approach for its international rollout. “Our international growth is based on a disciplined approach to market expansion and our commitment to providing customers worldwide with a consistent brand experience,” says Meera Bhatia, President of Fabletics. “As we enter new countries and expand our business globally, we focus on identifying the right markets, leveraging local expertise, and tailoring our approach to the specific needs of each region—while always staying true to the Fabletics brand.”

The new stores complement the company’s international e-commerce and wholesale operations. According to the company, Fabletics is the world’s largest digital-native activewear brand, reaching more than 3 million active female customers. Its collections are available online in the U.S., Canada, and Europe, as well as in over 125 retail stores.
