Jeans are among the most popular—and at the same time most environmentally harmful—items of clothing in the world.
On average, over 6,000 liters of water are used to produce a single pair of pants. Ecoalf is now fundamentally challenging this reality. After more than five years of research, the sustainable fashion brand is unveiling a revolutionary jeans collection that saves up to 5,434 liters of water per pair. That’s equivalent to a person’s drinking water needs for more than seven years. This is made possible by a radically new approach: regenerative and recycled cotton, an innovative Smart Indigo dyeing technology free of toxic chemicals, and laser and ozone finishing that requires no water at all. The result is not only a perfect fit but also a 100% circular denim fabric: made from a single material, without elastane, without synthetic yarns, and without zippers. And it’s fully recyclable. Production takes place in Spain, Italy, and Morocco, with measurable positive effects on the climate, soil, and biodiversity. With the “DENIM FOR THE PLANET” collection, Ecoalf proves that one of the central fashion products of our time can be reimagined. Not as a burden on the planet, but as part of the solution.
