Jackets from Tuscany
The latest addition to the portfolio of Dominik Meuer’s Munich-based agency is Capalbio, named after a town in the “Maremma” region in southwestern Tuscany.
The brand’s true roots date back to the 1940s. The jacket collection is inspired by the region’s historic hunting and farm workers. Since the 1990s, these traditional jackets have been revived, exclusively “Made in Tuscany.” Robust natural materials are used, such as cotton and linen in the summer, and loden, tweed, or waxed fabrics in the winter. “This Italian hunting and country aesthetic in jackets and vests fits perfectly into the current sporty fashion landscape,” explains Meuer, who is showcasing the collection in Düsseldorf during DFD at Karl-Arnold-Platz and in Munich at the showroom.
