#00 The Why Behind the Podcast

Some encounters feel like pure coincidence. But if you take a closer look, you realize that someone has created a framework in which this moment became possible in the first place. This is exactly where our new podcast format Curated Coincidence comes in - as a space in which the unexpected is not planned, but consciously made possible.

The title is an invitation to a change of perspective. Curated stands for attitude, for selection, for conscious design. Chance stands for the uncontrollable, the magical, which often makes the decisive difference in life. Our podcast moves between these two poles - once a month in conversation with people who inspire, challenge and open up new perspectives. People who show attitude in the midst of complex times, think out loud about quiet tendencies or simply arouse our curiosity through their way of working. As a video format, we will record the episodes sometimes from home, sometimes in the studio, sometimes on the road; in German and English, in order to deliberately not limit ourselves - and to open up as many new perspectives as possible for you.

Curated Coincidence is an extension of what style in progress has always stood for: interdisciplinary approaches, genuine listening, exchange at eye level - and an unconditional belief in the power of dialog. The podcast is not a format about fashion alone, but about people who create. About connections that work. About ideas that work. And about a future that is open - radically open.

In the opening episode, Lisa Hollogschwandtner, editor-in-chief of style in progress, and Stephan Huber, editor-in-chief and publisher, talk about the creation of the podcast and the current issue #98. Together, they explore what "curated coincidence" means to them, which observations in the industry are currently of particular concern to them and why hospitality is much more than a trend - namely a principle of attitude and togetherness.

A conversation about content, intuition and optimism - and the start of a journey in which listening is at least as important as telling.
