Butcher of Blue
B Corp™ certification: Made without compromise
The Dutch menswear label Butcher of Blue has been officially B Corp™-certified since May 2025.
With a score of 104 points in the B Impact Assessment, the company exceeds the required minimum score of 80 and thus documents its comprehensive commitment to social, environmental and corporate responsibility.
The B Corp™ certification recognizes companies that see business as a force for positive change. Butcher of Blue meets the demanding standards in the areas of governance, employee concerns, the environment, public welfare and customer benefits - and anchors these principles in its own corporate structure.
"For us, the B Corp certification is more than just proof of quality - it is a commitment to responsible action along the entire value chain," explains Maarten Rijnders, co-founder of Butcher of Blue.
The brand's integrative approach is particularly noteworthy: production takes place under fair conditions and people with difficult access to the labor market and refugees are specifically employed. In addition, the company donates 2% of its annual turnover in the form of products to local and national organizations.
Butcher of Blue takes a holistic approach to sustainability: In addition to using durable materials, the brand has its own repair service and promotes the return of worn products to the textile cycle.
With the B Corp™ certification, Butcher of Blue underlines its claim to create long-lasting fashion with substance - economically successful, ecologically responsible and socially effective.
