20 years of the art of living

When a brand like American Vintage celebrates its birthday, it's not with loud pomp, but with attitude. To mark its 20th anniversary, the French label hosted an event at the Arena Kino in Munich's Glockenbachviertel district—a place steeped in history, authenticity, and cinematic charm. A specially produced documentary was shown, following founder Michaël Azoulay on a journey from his beginnings in Marseille to global success. "American Vintage isn't just fashion, it's an art of living. A relaxed relationship with the world. A look that appeals to everyone," says Azoulay.

At the heart of the anniversary year is the 20 Years Collection, whose oversized silhouettes, bold patches, and unisex formats recharge the brand's visual memory. Nearby: the American Vintage flagship store on Gärtnerplatz, which, like the movie night, embodies the brand's DNA—reduced, authentic, with a clear eye for the future. The collection will be launched in two drops, spring and fall, and is available in select boutiques and online. Other stops on the international anniversary tour include Paris, London, Marseille, Amsterdam, Los Angeles, and Shanghai.
