Rethinking the Impact Report
Who actually reads impact reports? The Italian design and consulting studio Wråd asked itself this question—and came up with an unusual answer.
Enigmi per il mondo reale, a puzzle magazine that transforms the Impact Report 2025 into an interactive reading experience. The project was unveiled in mid-July at the Edicola Erno in Rome.
Instead of dry statistics, readers can look forward to crossword puzzles, quizzes, and word puzzles centered on responsible design, sustainability, and the studio’s projects. The full report remains available online, and the magazine complements it as a new communication format.
“Companies invest a lot of time and resources in their impact reports. If no one reads them, they fail to serve their intended purpose,” says Giorgio Fermanelli, Director of Impact at Wråd.
Founded in 2015 by Matteo Ward, the studio works with clients including EssilorLuxottica, Ferragamo, PVH, Vestiaire Collective, and Montura, and demonstrates through this project that sustainability communication can take a different approach. Since 2025, Wråd has been part of the global holding company Inside Out (IO).
