Diversification and Near Sourcing
From August 31 to September 2, 2026, the Paris-Le Bourget exhibition center will once again serve as the international gathering place for the textile and apparel industry.

More than 1,000 exhibitors from around the world are expected to attend the 59th edition of Texworld Apparel Sourcing Paris. The focus will be on a more carefully curated selection, new sourcing regions, and technologies for a more sustainable and efficient fashion industry.

The event brings together three areas under one roof: everything from fabrics and textile raw materials to sourcing for apparel and accessories, as well as innovative solutions along the textile value chain. “Today, buyers are no longer looking for the widest possible selection, but rather for carefully selected, reliable partners who combine quality, flexibility, and competitive prices,” explains Julien Schmoll, Marketing and Communications Director at Messe Frankfurt France. Accordingly, Halls 3 and 4 have been structured more clearly around areas of expertise and product categories.

At Texworld, more than 500 textile manufacturers and weaving mills showcase their collections. In addition to the major production regions of China, Turkey, Korea, and India, specialized European suppliers are also represented. Among the first-time exhibitors is La Lainière de Picardie, part of the Chargeurs-PCC Group, a specialist in interlining fabrics made from certified materials. Also making its debut is the Estonian company Osaühing Tekser Grupp, which focuses on high-quality linen production.

It also reflects the increasing diversification of procurement strategies. In addition to the established sourcing markets of China, India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, and the Euro-Mediterranean region, countries such as Armenia, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, and—for the first time—Bulgaria are gaining visibility. Special attention is being paid to near sourcing: In the Near Sourcing Hub, developed in collaboration with FourSource, around 30 companies from Turkey, Serbia, Romania, and Portugal are presenting their offerings. The focus here is on shorter delivery times and better control of the supply chain.

New product categories are expanding the range. These include Jewellery & Leather, a clearly defined denim category, and the new Outdoor Zone, featuring approximately 50 exhibitors specializing in technical fabrics and sportswear.

About 30 specialized exhibitors will showcase technology and sustainability. The focus will be on topics such as AI, traceability, the circular economy, new materials, and industrial optimization. With “Texpertise Focus AI x SPOTT,” a dedicated inspiration area will explore the impact of artificial intelligence on the textile value chain. The program is complemented by conferences, workshops, tech tours, and the Avantex Fashion Pitch for innovative startups. The agenda includes, among other things, trends for Fall/Winter 2027/28, the regenerative textile industry, sportswear, AI, and new career paths. A highlight on September 2 is the “Threading Circularity” forum on the circular economy, featuring topics such as repairs, extended product lifecycles, and European value chains.
