"If it weren't for my courage, I wouldn't have a store!"

"If it weren't for my courage, I wouldn't have a store!"
Why is it so important to order fashion with emotion?

Silvie Greiter, owner of Palu Store: Because fashion—especially in our segment—is emotional, and that’s how our regular customers shop, too. Right now, they’re looking for color and are more daring. I, for one, order boldly and let my instincts guide me. Without courage, I wouldn’t have a store!

And how do you encourage your female customers?

Our window displays change every week, sometimes with a wild twist: a mix of patterns, a lemon-yellow blouse, or a chunky knit paired with a silk skirt. This draws customers into the store, which feels like a living room and where they’re happy to try something new. What’s important is that the outfit suits their personality and that they feel completely comfortable.

That requires trust, doesn't it?

Yes, my customers trust me to find the right thing for them. Sometimes they come in just looking for a T-shirt and walk out with a whole new look—like a customer the other day who left wearing a leather skirt from Ayasse and a blouse from Narli. It’s great when they really go for it and then say, “I love these pieces!”
