Urban Hiking

The footwear brand Merrell has founded a Hiking Club to give women a stronger voice in the outdoor world and make hiking more accessible. Inspired by the GorpCore trend, which brings functional clothing into the city as streetwear, Merrell wants to immerse beginners in hiking in particular at curated urban hike events with extended walks in nature under the motto "Hiking is everywhere". The whole thing takes place not only in the Hide Park, on the banks of the Seine or in Berlin's Tiergarten, but also in Hanover's Eilenriede Park, one of Europe's largest urban forests, for example.
