It’s “Japan Quality”

April 1, 2026 BY Lisa Hollogschwandtner

It’s “Japan Quality”
The J∞quality project, launched by the Japan Apparel Fashion Industry Council, aims to boost demand for Japanese clothing and support the revitalization of traditional textile regions.

It stands for the pursuit of “infinite quality,” transparent manufacturing, and craftsmanship. As a collaborative project, J∞quality brings together twelve certified factories across Japan, each contributing its unique expertise. Under the creative direction of Masato Koyama and with Hirofumi Kurino serving as a consultant, a platform is being created based on a unified design language that collectively showcases Japanese manufacturing expertise and quality.
