ILM
"We are truly tangible"
ILM can be described as a rock in the surf when it comes to trade fairs. What is the secret?
Arnd Hinrich Kappe, CEO of ILM Offenbach: As a boutique event for accessories and luggage, we have never diluted our concept. Everyone knows what they can expect from us.
To what extent is the trade fair being modernized?
Much of the event is digital, but the trade fair itself remains analog. Visitors can view 300 exhibitors, each of whom has around 40 customer appointments. It's extremely efficient! We also bring the halls to life with a fantastic supporting program, the highlight of which is a live talk with Frauke Ludowig. To increase the international flavor, we are cooperating with the Travel Goods Association, with 20 exhibitors from the USA.
The Offenbach Trade Fair's new project is 069 Connect in June. Is this competition for ILM?
No, it's a shoe convention for decision-makers to exchange ideas, and it's very popular. At the same time, Shift is taking place in Offenbach, including a party at the cult club Robert Johnson. This is how Offenbach can truly become a fashion metropolis!
