Gattinoni
Heritage. Cinema. Reset.
80 years of Gattinoni – celebrated with a clear vision for the future at White Milano during Milan Fashion Week. The fashion house used the anniversary not only as an opportunity to look back, but also as a strategically timed relaunch moment.
On February 27, the event celebrating Gattinoni's relaunch and 80th anniversary took place at WHITE Milano. The focus was on twelve iconic archive pieces from the 1960s to the 1990s—designs that have shaped the brand's signature style. A specially staged cinema showed excerpts from Federico Fellini'sLa Dolce Vitawith Anita Ekberg in her legendary dress, as well as fromWar and Peacewith Audrey Hepburn. Fashion history was not presented here in a nostalgic way, but rather as a creative foundation for the future. Luigi Filippo Morelli developed the first relaunch collection for HW26/27 from these archive codes: clear silhouettes, feminine lines, contemporary precision. The focus is deliberately on prêt-à-porter – wearable, modern looks for women who want to look stylish without pomp. "These twelve dresses are our foundation. We wanted to preserve their essence while creating a collection that works today – confident, wearable, and internationally compatible," says Morelli. Around 150 international buyers – strongly represented from the DACH region, as well as partners such as United Arrows – and the international press accepted the invitation to the light lunch. CEO Manuele Filippucci also emphasized the strategic decision: "Milan and WHITE were the right place for us to take this step. A new chapter is beginning for Gattinoni – with a clear vision and international orientation."
