"It goes far beyond games"
Samuel, what is particularly important to you for the new season?
Samuel Schatten: Printworks and Academia, because both brands are emblematic of our approach: Our products should not only be aesthetic and stylish, but also fulfill a certain functionality.
How does Printworks succeed?
Ludovico Nees: We are seeing that premium fashion retail is increasingly focusing on the concept store idea, and Printworks fills a gap here. The collection stands for functional decoration, with products that are perfect as souvenirs. Instead of the umpteenth bottle of wine, people today prefer to bring a game, such as back gammon or chess. But it goes far beyond games.
Johannes Strasser-Nunziati: With seasonal souvenirs, such as a journal with ready-made pages to fill in. This could be a cookbook or travel diary, a wedding or christening album. Such occasions require gift ideas that have an emotional appeal. And in such a stylish design that we really love it!
Your fashion counterpart is Academia. What makes the collection special?
Ludovico Nees: The hero items are blouses with different stripe designs within one piece or sets with short-sleeved shirts and shorts. The piece dyes are joined by exciting materials in a crochet look that play with transparency, as well as checks and vintage flowers in sorbet colors.
Samuel Schatten: New are blouses in streetwear style, for example with cropped silhouettes and workwear details. A very cool break in style!
Brands: Academia, Bongusta, Krakatau, Meyenberg, Mikks, Paltò, Printworks, Tenue, White Sand
