Elisa Gaito
No quiet luxury, no eye-catching, what is needed is attitude
Elisa, how is the season going for you at the moment?
Elisa Gaito, Founder and CEO of Elisa Gaito Showroom: The direction is still difficult to grasp, many customers are cautious and want to play it safe. But one thing is clear: quiet luxury no longer works in the classic sense and eye-catching is already passé. What counts is a defined look with substance; special pieces that are well made, have a story and offer convincing value for money. Neither the flashy nor the quiet are in demand; what is needed is attitude, quality and clarity.
What do you expect from the season?
I think we are clearly in a phase of consolidation. It's no longer about posting big figures, but about bringing really good, coherent collections to our customers. The desire for fashion should take center stage. We all have to work more consciously, and that's what makes it exciting.
What is Elisa Gaito's strength? And is there any news you're looking forward to?
Our strength lies in personal relationships. We deliberately focus on long-term partnerships that we maintain, refresh and fill with life. For me, that is the most important part of this work. And yes, there is great news! The new brands that we have added to our portfolio, Balossa, Opificio and Malej, are doing really well and are getting very good feedback. We will also be showing Caftanii again in Munich, a brand that has been with us for several seasons and still really excites us. We are looking forward to showing all the collections from August 2 to 5 in Munich at Lindwurm Studios together with Melagence.
