Ready-to-wear as a strategic relaunch
The Roman fashion house Gattinoni is starting a new chapter to mark its 80th anniversary. Under the creative direction of Luigi Filippo Morelli, the house is focusing on its prêt-à-porter line—with the aim of translating historical couture codes into a contemporary, internationally oriented collection.

Founded in 1946 and significantly influenced by Fernanda Gattinoni, the brand has stood for Italian elegance with international appeal since the 1950s and 1960s. Film, art, and travel have been important components of the brand identity from the very beginning and have shaped the company's self-image beyond haute couture. Gattinoni builds on this cultural heritage today—not in a backward-looking way, but as inspiration for a modern, self-confident customer.

The Fall/Winter 2026/27 collection defines the Gattinoni woman as dynamic, independent, and cosmopolitan. Sculptural silhouettes, draping, smocking elements, and architecturally inspired knit structures combine traditional craftsmanship with everyday practicality. A palette of stone and earth tones underscores the artistic approach, while high-quality materials such as cashmere, flannel, denim, and eco-furs reinforce the brand's positioning in the premium segment.

The newly positioned line will celebrate its premiere from February 26 to March 1, 2026, at White Milano in Milan. In addition to the current collection, Gattinoni will present a curated retrospective of iconic archive pieces. The aim is to establish the maison as a sustainable, historic, and contemporary premium brand on the international market. Manuel Filippucci, Managing Director of Gattinoni, comments: "White Milano is the ideal setting for this project. Milan is today the center of contemporary fashion, while White is an international, forward-looking platform that facilitates dialogue with over 200 international buyers. Presenting the relaunch of Gattinoni at this location means reaffirming the international orientation that is deeply rooted in the brand's DNA."
